These E-Z Access® Crawlspace doors are specially made for manufactured homes and come ready to install.

Install 5/8 J-molding around 3 sides of the frame (top & 2 sides) using small self tapping tek screws (not supplied).

Note: J-molding on the sides should not extend below the raised flat portion of the frame.

With the J-molding installed, the frame will now be the width of 2 skirting panels.
Insert bottom of frame into the ground track & install the skirting into the J-molding.

Replace the door into frame.

Note: For using with existing skirting

A. Disengage cap lock at the of skirting and remove the two skirting panels by sliding upwards & out.

B. Replace skirting panels with frame, engaging existing skirting into J-molding & bottom of frame into ground track.

C. Use skirting that was removed earlier to fill in void between top of frame & cap lock. (Usually the lengths required can be cut from one skirting panel leaving the other for future use.)

D. Replace the door.

Although the plastic contains some inherent UV protection, the level of protection may be increased by painting. Either latex or oil base paints (most brands of spray cans) is acceptable with oil base paints being more durable.
